Kabir Singh

Kabir Singh Movie Review

Kabir Singh has been one of the most anticipated films since its trailer came out. Maybe because Arjun Reddy was a huge hit and Kabir Singh marks its remake. Let's see how it stands.

Synopsis:

Kabir Singh (Shahid Kapoor) is a medical student who falls in love with his junior. They both eventually decide to get married but Preeti's (Kiara Advani) father resists and gets her married to another boy of their own liking. This destroys Kabir Singh and all his further actions are either drinking, drug abuse or anger. The death of Kabir Singh's grandmother opens his eyes and he moves on until he sees Preeti again in a park one day.

My Opinion:

Kabir Singh is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Better than Ek Villain though. The loopholes and storyline of Kabir Singh are so stupid that a 15-year-old would have written a better story. One day they both are talking to her father about their marriage and two days later, she gets married to someone else. In this era of extraordinary stories and screenplays when I start to feel that India is changing suddenly a movie like Kabir Singh releases. The only thing that is good in Kabir Singh is acting. Both actors have done a good job. The writer or director tried to turn the movie into a positive ending but failed miserably. Moving on after seeing Preeti would have been a better ending. The twist that the child is Shahid's and she left after the day of her marriage does not happen practically. A fairy tale movie with nothing to deliver. Kabir Singh is a total waste of time and money. I do not recommend this movie.
