The most awaited movie for the past couple of years, basically since its announcement has finally hit the screens yesterday. And I have a lot to speak about it.
The movie has a very deep and good plot to it. The movie's main theme is that the radiations of so many cell phones are destroying the birds. The birds are unable to navigate, lay good eggs and die because of it. This indirectly affects humans as birds eat worms and worms eat the crops. Without any bird, worms will eat the whole crop and this will extinct humans. For this Dr. Pakshikaran, who is very fond of birds and has dedicated his life on birds, is very hurt and tries his best to save birds. All his efforts are worthless as no human helps him. He tries all the legal methods but nothing happens. Frustrated and destroyed from this unchangeable situation, he commits suicide by hanging on to the cell network tower. His aura and all the dead birds aura, creates an evil force which then tries to destroy every cell phone and kills humans for the damage they have done.
First of all, kudos to Shankar for giving this huge piece of art to the indian cinema. I will talk about the VFX but before that I would like to mention that I read some reviews where people have criticised the story plot and rated badly on that basis. I am surprised to see these people who believe Marvel's story is better and convincing than 2.0's even after being purely fantasy. At least 2.0 has a real plot of real life.
The story is great and the acting is really great. Akshay has done a really great job and I have seen such acting skills in Akshay after a really long time. He surely played his role as the best anyone could have. Rajinikanth acting is really applaudable. He has done a marvellous job in acting. He played three types of character who have three different styles of everything which are Dr. Vaseegaran, Chitti and Chitti Reloaded. He played all of them with excellent energy. He proved why he is the superstar of India.
The VFX part is the best I have seen in any Indian movie and one of the best in any movie worldwide. The main core of the movie is VFX only as they have shown almost every scene with VFX. The VFX is great with even one mobile visible clearly in a sea of mobiles. Everything looks like a real object and everything is so beautifully created that I was in awe after watching some scenes like Chitti entry scene and the climax of the movie. The movie is the highest of the entertainment you can get in theatres. You would be surprised to see the VFX scenes in the theatres. I was happy stan lee died before 2.0 or else he would not have rested in peace. All in all, the movie was a great piece. It was worth the wait, time and money. I am sure it will break all the records at the box office. It is very highly recommended to watch. I mean really, if you miss this movie, better live in a cave.
