Karwaan

Karwaan Movie Review

Although Irrfan has been sick for a while, his movies have never stopped hitting the theatres. Irrfan has come back with yet another movie based on the trip after Qarib Qarib Singlle which is Karwaan. It stars a brand new cast along with Irrfan.

Synopsis:

While going on pilgrimage visit, a man dies in an accident. His body is exchanged with a woman's body who lives in Coimbatore. His son then travels from his home town Bangalore, to Coimbatore with the woman's dead body to take back his father's. He goes with his friend Shaukat (Irrfan Khan) who has a van.

My Opinion:

Karwaan is a very beautifully executed movie which focuses neither on the road trip or any particular location. Shot on multiple locations, writer has tried his best to portray as many emotions as possible. Emotion of love, parenthood, a child who cannot adjust, a child who want to run from home and many more. I liked how he has tried to portray these things into one single movie.
Honestly speaking, I did not come to know when the movie ended. It was a very smooth movie with good funny scenes in between. I like how bollywood has changed. People have understood that if they portray similar things as happen in real life, it makes a great impact. And that includes dialogues along with the scenes.
I must admit that the choice of movies Irrfan has started doing is really commendable. I recommend this movie.
