October Movie Review
October was a movie that excited me from inside seeing a mainstream actor fond of showing his body doing a movie which is out of the track and very different from what India is used to. So, here is the review of October starring Varun Dhawan.
Synopsis:
October movie is a story of a couple Dan and Shiuli, both of whom have done the Hotel Management course. They both currently work in Radisson Blu in Delhi. The girl is serious about her work and works responsibly while the boy (Varun Dhawan) does not like his work. Due to this he works carelessly and is often the center of scolding from his manager. He is always given the odd tasks of the hotel such as cleaning the rooms or working in laundry while Shiuli is given jobs like being at the reception or working in the restaurant. Dan is always frustrated due to this and the life is going on for both of them when on the new years eve while celebrating, Shiuli falls off the cliff form the third floor of the Hotel. This makes her paralyze and the phase of life changes for Shiuli, her family and Dan.
My Opinion:
October movie is a fantastic attempt to portray what a dark phase of anyone's life looks like. It is a beautiful directed movie and not for one second moves away from the reality of life. I really like how nothing unrealistic was portrayed in the movie like Shiuli magically talking after 2 days of prayer. This was so realistic I could connect to the movie instantly and the phase they are going through. The fact how Dan behaves and reacts towards the situation is extraordinary. The recovery phase of Shiuli is really exceptional and I was really happy to see such a movie in Bollywood. I really appreciate the efforts of the director. The ending is fabulous and although at the end of the movie I felt a little depressing but I guess that was what it was aimed for. How depressing life can be sometimes. I felt the part of Shiuli's family. Varun Dhawan has done extraordinary job in this movie and surprisingly highly above expectations. I hereby very highly recommend this movie. Worth watching.
