Manmarziyaan

Manmarziyaan Movie Review

Manmarziyaan is a romantic film written by Kanika Dhillon based on her real life experience. It is directed by Anurag Kashyap and  produced by  Anand L Rai.

Synopsis

Rummi is a free-spirited red haired girl living in Amritsar.  She is in love with Vicky ,who is a DJ. Vicky has dyed his hair blue which I guess is to signify that they both share the same tastes. One time they are caught making out at Rummi’s house. She tells Vicky to ask for her parents' consent for their marriage. If he doesn't, she will marry a boy of her parent's choice. Roobie doesn't turn up at her house and she decides to get married to an NRI Robbie.

My Opinion

Bollywood has similar pattern when it comes to love triangles and this film offers nothing new in it. This film gives a realistic touch with which people definitely can resonate. It is not a story which aspires but it is a story which we as audience face in reality. A scene in which Rummi and Vicky were eloping and the conversation that took place between them, sets the tone of the film. That scene shows Rummi know that Vicky is careless fickle minded impulsive guy and even then she loves him. May be  she is also like Vicky and that is depicted by the makers as only Vicky and Rummi has dyed hair in the film.  Roobie played by Abhishek bachchan also did justice to his character especially in the climax. Anurag has used song as a part of his narrative beautifully. Amit trivedi really give one of the best music album. Collaboration of Anand L Rai and Anurag kashyap is like a fireshot Vodka  and it will really give you visual high. Film has nothing new to offer as a story besides some really good on screen performances and exceptional music by Amit trivedi. Although it wont make u bore in  so I will recommend it .
