John Abraham is back with a movie but without an action. Although the movie is kind
of his genre but still if he doesn't lift his fist, it is not completely a John
Abraham's movie. Well, we are here to talk about the movie and not the actor,
we will focus on that.
Synopsis:
Parmanu is
a story of an intelligent son of an intelligent father, both being the bureaucrats
of India. The movie is set in late 1980s to late 1990s. This story is based on
the true events that made India a nuclear power. Since it was and is one of the
greatest achievements of India, how beautiful was it to process it, is shown
here. The movie shows the strategic implementations and smart moves that made
India a nuclear power without anyone knowing even though US was continuously
watching from the satellites. In the end, we test not one or two but four
nuclear bombs.
My Opinion:
This movie
has been beautifully portrayed and anyone can relate it with the time when it
must have happened. It was one of the greatest achievement of India and Dr. APJAbdul Kalam. Story wise it is really great and without any spice or
exaggeration. Acting wise everyone has done a great job and the movie does not
leave its momentum till the end. I really appreciate the director's efforts to
portray everything with respect of a particular person rather than narrating it
like a story.
The only
thing that I thought was not so needed was Diana Penty. I still do not
understand why she was signed into the movie. Maybe feminism or maybe women
equality or I do not know but being in charge of security some tough guy like
Jackie Shroff or maybe Rana Duggabatti could have done a greater job. She was
not so much needed at all in the movie. Other than that, I highly recommend
Parmanu.
